Problems - quite fascinating things. They keep you up at night, cause havoc in your life and generally make life difficult.
So what do you do with them?
Here are some truths about problems and their solutions -
1. You cannot get rid of a problem until you get rid of what is causing it, and that is a quandry in and of itself. So step back from the problem and look at the big picture view in order to see the entire problem.
2. You cannot take part of the problem and move it out of the equation to somewhere else, if you do the solution to the problem is no longer available.
We all do this and sometimes feel we have solved the problem because we have solved one part of it. Much like an algebraic equation you have only solved what is between one set of brackets, in order to solve the entire problem you have to complete the entire equation.
So how do you solve the problem of having problems?
1, Accept there will always be problems, it is how we learn to navigate through life.
2. If the answer is not apparent -(which by the way is true in ever case, because if you had the answer you no longer have a problem) then you have to work on getting the entire problem, step back and see if you can find the source first, rather than blaming someone else for the problem.
3. get some help - much like algebra, calculus, geometry and physics, we all had to learn from someone that understood the process of solving those equations. Find someone that is experienced in solving problems and can help you see and resolve yours.
4. Sometimes you are simply faced with a dilemma that can be a problem in and of itself or is simply requires a firm decision to resolve - here is one of my simple problem/dilemma solutions - ask your self these questions
A. is this going to help me or hurt me?
B. Will this move me closer to my goal or further away?
