What are you doing with your Past?

This is a powerful piece of this work, releasing our past is very powerful and yet very difficult process. Only those who are 100% committed will achieve the desired results.

It works like this - let say you want to get new carpet in your bedroom. First you go pick out new carpet, have it delivered and schedule someone to install it. The installer shows up and you have not done any prep work, (in other words your furniture, personal belongings and the various stuff scattered around the room is still there (ok so some people are neat, you I will deal with later, for now we are talking about the average person) IN order to install the new carpet you have to “clear out” the old stuff, move your furniture and clean up the room. Now you can stand there and argue with the installer that it is all your “stuff” and you cant just throw it away, and you love your room the way it is, you need to keep the room as it is, you just want the carpet replaced. ( Most likely you will be hearing the door slam as he walks out.)

In order to create new things, in new ways you have to clean up the old, and get rid of (release) those things that don’t serve you, except to prevent moving forward. This includes emotional energy and attachment to our pain and suffering we experienced as children.

A powerful part of that is awareness, often we become aware of our past experiences and try to process them as if our mind can resolve the pain and suffering. Conventional teaching is we have to talk about and feel all of our emotions, sometimes for years. I know people that have been in therapy most of their lives and still haven’t resolved their issues. Perhaps they have not found the right place to tap. Here is a story that explains what I mean.

Once a giant ship’s engine failed. The ship's owners tried one expert after another, but none of them could figure out how to fix the engine. Then they brought in an old man who had been fixing ships since he was a youngster. He carried a large bag of tools with him, and when he arrived, he immediately went to work. He inspected the engine very carefully, top to bottom. Two of the ship's owners were there, watching this man, hoping he would know what to do. After looking things over, the old man reached into his bag and pulled out a small hammer. He gently tapped something. Instantly, the engine lurched into life. He carefully put his hammer away. The engine was fixed!

A week later, the owners received a bill from the old man for ten thousand dollars

."What?!" the owners exclaimed. "He hardly did anything!" So they wrote the old man a note saying, "Please send us an itemized bill

"The man sent a bill that read,

Tapping with a hammer...................................$2
Knowing where to tap................................$9998

So it is not that the process is wrong, perhaps it simply means that you have to know where to tap.
Knowing how to release the past is vital and can save hours, days, even years of struggle.
We all have past issues, we all have childhood pain and suffering, some more intense, some ingrained deeper, and some truly devastating. What we choose to do with it and how we deal with it is what makes the difference between staying stuck and being able to move into valuing ourselves enough to have what we want currently. Trying to move emotional trauma and mind controlled childhood fears is nearly impossible using the mind and your thoughts.

Step one is learning how to control your own mind. This is why many people have watched the Secret and other positive programs and still struggle with being unable to make any of it work. I have been there and tried it. I can tell you it is nearly impossible. Your mind and your own thoughts are your greatest challenge to overcome, and yet they are the most powerful tools to create what you want. Try holding a fire hose that is turned on full force, one man cannot do it himself, it takes several people to control the force that is flowing through the hose. You cannot manage nor control your thoughts, until you take control of your mind. As you are reading this, even now your mind is arguing with the validity of these statements, unless you know and understand the power and truth of what I am saying. Until you agree and are willing to do the work, you will struggle and be frustrated.

Step two – If and when you can control your mind, you now can use your awareness to see and know what you are dealing with, decide what you are going to allow in you life and use your thoughts in a positive way. Does this mean you ignore your past? No, but it no longer can create the emotional devastation that did before, you decide what you will allow it to do, or better yet you will decide that it happened, it is over and nothing you can do will change it. You will decide that everything that has happened is part of your life, you will take the lesson from every experience and use it wisely, (Now you know where to TAP!!!!)

It is an interesting and complex journey, very difficult if attempted alone, much easier if we join together. Every day you can choose what you are going to do with that day. You can choose to reach out to those you love and care about and support and encourage each other, spreading Love and Joy, or you can keep holding that Anger Fear and Resentment in your Heart. This is my effort to extend my hand to you, to share my Heart and Joy with you, and hopefully help you experience a piece of what the Divine has given me.
